Scars caused by acne

Acne scars are often deeper than the thickness of the skin; these scars are known as ‘pock-marks’.

Cicatrices d'acné

This means that abrading the skin to ‘erase’ the scar in one step is impossible otherwise the whole thickness of the skin would be removed. So less aggressive treatments need to be applied repeatedly to gradually reduce the depth of the acne scars.

 BY A PEEL OR LASER:

These treatments may be complementary. As a phenol peel is too aggressive and involves significant risks of scar retraction or loss of pigmentation, we prefer to repeat 30% TCA peels.

Advanced fluorescence technology (AFT) based on a wavelength of 540 mm will reduce redness and have a good ‘photo rejuvenation’ effect, reducing acne lesions (in conjunction with medical treatment for acne).

Traitement cicatrices par laser

Our pure Erbium or pixelated laser (the Pixel°) is able, gently, to have a targeted effect on scars by ‘micro-pigmenting’ the scar, promoting its reduction in both depth and diameter.

Sessions are conducted at 1-month intervals.
